GHOSTBUSTER GAMES
Become a real Ghostbuster
Become a real Ghostbuster
This event was created to bring together all of the groups of the GLGC (Great Lakes Ghostbuster Coalition) to bring joy and camaraderie through our love of Ghostbusters.
This game was intended to be played as a Head to Head competition: Each Team of 4, two players will be “catchers/throwers” and two players will be “shooters”. The “catcher/throwers” will stand (feet to be determined) apart and will have laundry like bins on stands so as the bins are waist high. One bin will have 20 mini stay pufts and this person will be told to “light’em up” the two players with their Spengler wands will “draw” their neutrona wands with the lasers attached from their Proton pack and the “throwers” will begin throwing the mini pufts to the other player and they will catch the puft, while the mini puft is in the air the two “shooters” will attempt to hit the mini puft on its sensor located on its belly and Light up the pufts head (Green/Red depending on what team) if they do not hit the sensor with the lasers attached to their Spengler wands, then the player who is catching will now become the thrower, at this time they will grab the puft and throw it back to the original thrower hoping that the shooters will light up the puft on its way over. There are two ways this can be played, the first thrower can throw all 20 pufts and the catcher can then throw all the puffs that didn’t get lit up back to the original thrower. Or they can throw and catch and throw back each time a mini puff is not lit up, This is up to each team to decide the best and fastest way to light up all 20 puffs before the time runs out (2 minutes tentatively) or the opposing team shoots all their pufts first.
The reason “Spengler wands” are specifically named is they are the only wands that are uniform that a lot of GLGC members have that I was able to easily mod a bunch of laser pointers to.

Ghost Trap Curling: 4 players, 2 turns per player, one player positioned at 6feet, 8feet, 10feet, and 12 feet A team member will stand behind a designated line, and must not allow their foot to cross when sliding the trap across the line. There will be 4 circles with a minimum spacing of at least a traps length between them. The center circle being worth 10, the next will be 6 points, then 3 points, and then lastly 1 point. The trap must be more than halfway into the circle to count for that point allotment. Highest score wins that event.

This event will be a head to head competition, both teams will have the same set up and same items that must be found. First team to retrieve all items and hold up their hands wins. This event will have an area that's taped off in a circle and the following items will be placed inside the circle: Proton pack, Ghost trap, PKE meter, Ecto goggles. The “game” area will then be filled with “marshmallow” (soap foam) one player will enter the area and have to find each item in the “Marshmallow” The player must first find their gloves and then the other items may be put on before the event has ended.

There will be a circular table with a white tablecloth with a flower arrangement in the center, 8 glasses, plates and napkins and silverware. Each item will be outlined with a lined border underneath the cloth that is visible through the tablecloth and participants will pull the tablecloth and attempt to have the items remain standing and on the table. Points will be awarded for each item left on the table. Points will be awarded for an item not moving outside of their circle. 1 point for keeping the item on the table, and 5 points for keeping the item standing, and 8 points for the item if it's both standing and inside the outline of the object.
